Filtered & Blocked

My wife informed me this week that at the public/government school where she works that when she visited my blog this is what she encountered.

I asked her to try some other blogspot sites, but they were not all blocked as social networking.  One other that we tried was.  We tried Canadian Atheist, who is listed as one of the followers of my blog, and his site was blocked.

Though we only tried a few, it appears that the school’s filtering system is blocking religious content.  And while the Canadian Atheist would argue the point, atheism is counted as a religion.  Moreover, he talks a great deal about religion and religions.  At any rate, even his atheist blog is blocked.

On the other hand, at least in the California reeducation centers for minors, a.k.a., public schools, homosexuality is pressed upon the students through Harvey Milk Day, as is reported at 'Gays' to YouTube: Don't let anyone see THIS!.

This article reports that the video Save California was actually pulled by YouTube.

This is the video:

Through the government reeducation centers pseudonymed as public schools, and through the mainstream media, including TV and movies, America has been and is being changed.  I daily am made aware of this as I hear people speak, using harsh and dirty language that I would not have heard thirty or forty years ago.  Profanity and even curse words that people avoided in times past are now part of common conversation.  These words are not new, but their common acceptance and use are.  And this trend is growing as these things are propagated especially in the various forms of media.

But the choice of words is not the end of it.  People’s lives reflect the changes as well.  Divorce is more common than life long marriage.  Anger and rage and hatred overflow everywhere.  Depression is counted as a disease for which people need to be prescribed drugs.  Sex change operations and drugs are touted as proper for those who experience confusion regarding their understanding of sexuality.

Yet teaching of the loving God who created us to live in the joy of the identity that He has given to us and has reestablished for us in Christ Jesus is treated as taboo.  Teaching people that their hope is restored in the renewed communion of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the means of grace is rejected even by the mainstream churches.  Even pastors can be heard cursing like sailors.  So-called churches teach tolerance of divorce and acceptance of sexual deviation.  Abortion is taught even by some so-called churches as a reproductive right.

And people wonder how it is possible that murders, rapes, suicides, child abuse and molestation, drug and alcohol abuse, and endless other hideous things are on the rise in our society.  During His earthly ministry the Lord Jesus looked upon the people with compassion as they were like sheep without a shepherd.  Yet today His Gospel has gone forth into all the world, and people are as lost today as they were then, wandering aimlessly, seeking direction for their lives in all of the wrong places.

Oh that people would hear.  Oh that people would receive the rich blessings that He purchased for them and offers freely through His means of grace in His true Church.  Oh that the churches truly were the Church and offered these means of grace as He has ordained them.  Truly our society would be different.  Truly the churches themselves would be different.  How truly blessed we all would be.

Attack Dogs used on a High School Walkout in MD

Has this been in the news? It is the first that I have seen of it.

Dogs used on a HS Students. Four Arrested For “Thought Crimes"

From what I’ve been reading elsewhere, the nutrition is indeed a cause of concern, especially with the “pink slime” and other toxic additives that are being used in government school lunches.

While I don’t know enough about the various issues of concern to these high school students to attempt to address these issues, the fact that the government has this much control over the populace horrifies me. I never realized the extent to which this reaches until my wife began working for the government schools and began talking about the laws that she daily encounters.

Growing up I never realized what the truancy laws were. I never realized that the parental excuse and doctor’s written excuses were needed because I was being held hostage by the legal system. I always thought that this was merely part of the requirements of being a responsible student. I had no clue regarding the fact that missing class was a crime for which my parents would be held accountable.

A few years ago when I became aware of this I was truly horrified. I was deeply shocked to realize that this has been in force for all of my life apart from my awareness. I was very troubled to realize that this depth of mind control and social programming has been forced upon us for such a long time.

What is more is that the government schools are a farce and a joke. They are inefficient. They demand more and more taxes of the populace and accomplish less and less. This was as true when I was a youngster as it is today.

I was blessed to attend our church’s parochial school through the sixth grade. My first year in the government school was like a general review. The next year we were made aware of the advanced classes and I began learning something again. But there was also the continual bombardment of false information, especially in the history and social departments. I was being taught that the way to get laws changed is to challenge them by breaking them so that they would be reviewed by the courts. This was called civil disobedience and was the only real means taught for changing laws.

Thus these kids in Maryland first think of a walkout rather than talking to their parents and discussing the ways of addressing these issues through the school board and through demanding changes in legislation. Thus the government first teaches the students to be “activists” and law breakers, to cause civil unrest, and then arrests them for doing as they have been taught to do. That principal ought to be fired for his duplicity. The police chief also should be fired for promotion of terrorism.

Most importantly, the truancy laws should be overturned. The citizens should not be required by law to subject themselves to educational tyranny. If people do not want an education, or they simply do not want to be forced into government social modification programs, they should be free to seek their own means of education or even to remain ignorant if they so choose. Most of all, the entire populace should not be forced to pay for these social modification programs that always demand more money.

I often feel bewildered by the fact that the government’s religion is forcibly taught to the nation’s children and most people express no real objection. The result is that true freedom has been nearly entirely obliterated.

Just think, if parents decide that they do not want their children to be subjected to the government’s required (accredited) curricula, the government sends its enforcers to take the children from the parents. If a citizen does not want to support the government’s enforced indoctrination programs and refuses to pay the required program fees (property taxes), the government confiscates the citizen’s home and property. Parents who want to educate their own children must receive special permission from the government and must use the government’s curricula.

If the children object and stage a walk out, the government enforcers are sent with tasers and clubs and guns and attack dogs to hold them hostage.

Yet the people blithely ignore these government reeducation/indoctrination concentration camps and imagine that the freedom envisioned by the founders of this nation still exists. And this is just what is observed in the government enforced education system.

Is it time yet for us to become concerned?

This information does seem to shed some light upon what the usual candidates for office support with their support of the Federal Department of Education and “No child left behind.” That is for sure, no child is left behind, they all are dragged off together to the same locked down facilities. Well, at least we can take comfort knowing that the Obama, Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum have consistently pressed for more taxes to support the Department of Ed. Surely we can count on them for more of the same.

Ah, what a relief!

Psychiatry vs Personal Well Being and Growth

In the post two posts below, ADHD is addressed among other issues.

I have encountered people who have genuine neurological disorders, and ADHD, or at least something similar, is certainly among them. There are people who have problems with proper functioning of their neural pathways.

Sadly, as in the one link that I labeled as an ADHD joke, ADHD and the Brain: An Inside Look, horribly false statements are made. Amazingly, the three things that are listed by this pharmaceutical advertisement as being myths, are actually the things that have been scientifically proven. The one of greatest concern is the nutritional or dietetic contributor.

Two food additives that have been proven to be what are called excitotoxins are very powerfully destructive to the proper development of the neural pathways especially during the periods of gestational and early childhood development. At these critical stages of development, these neurotoxins can and often do cause permanent and irreversible damage.

The two neurotoxins are processed glutamic acid and aspartic acid, often commonly called MSG/glutamates and Aspartame. While these are not the only contributors to neurological disorders, they are documented and prevalent. Yet the mainstream medical professionals not only do not warn people, but actually deny their destructive effects. They actually lie, as in the video, saying that the causes are not known. Then, they prescribe other harmful drugs.

Thankfully there are health care professionals and researchers who are reporting these things. Many of the incidences of “mental disorders” can be prevented through avoidance of these toxins in the diet.

Amazingly, the other factors that the video farcically dismisses as myths are actually validated by what is later stated as part of proper treatment for ADHD. Consider the four things listed:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Positive reinforcement
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
Now compare this list to the list of so-called myths:
  • “ADHD isn’t ‘real’ and it’s often blown out of proportion”
  • “ADHD is caused by a poor diet or too much television”
  • “ADHD is caused by poor schooling or poor parenting”

Do you see the fallacious presentation and misrepresentation? First, they combined ‘blown out of proportion’ with ‘isn’t real’ so as to present the two as both being false presumptions. However, they are not at all the same. The one is factual.

The second so-called myth actually has two factual items listed together in a way that they seem to cancel one another.

The third is presented in a way to anger teachers and parents into feeling defensive.

Yet their four approved methods of treatment all assume that teaching behavior modification and counseling and encouragement (which all belong to the role of parenting and teaching and are often overridden by too much TV and video games and Internet and texting) are the missing factors that are in need of being supplied.

Then, they add that stimulants can be helpful, and especially prescription stimulants. They may as well be promoting caffeine and nicotine. Those would actually be safer and less expensive!

But the last thing that they want to do is to tell people about the food additives that are flooding their foods and beverages.

And naturally they do not want anyone to think that the ADHD diagnoses are in any way blown out of proportion and often entirely wrong. Then parents and teachers might actually encourage these energetic youngsters to put their excitement and energy to something productive. The kids might actually be encouraged to investigate what special inborn talents and skills and aptitudes are driving their “hyperactivity” and eagerness to find more stimulating studies and activities.

Oh, they might even be led to discover that they enjoy learning, if they were given some encouragement to see how their aptitudes could be applied in real life applications.

Oh no!

Are You Scholarly?

The other day, as I was deep into study, I suddenly thought, “Oh wow, I suppose that I actually am a scholar!” This came from realizing that I very much enjoy studying and growing in knowledge. I have never really “liked” school, but I have always enjoyed learning, even studying.

I’m not sure, though, that my attitude truly fits with the definition of a “scholar” or being “scholarly”.

From Merriam-Webster.com the definitions of scholar and scholarly are:

Definition of SCHOLAR

1: a person who attends a school or studies under a teacher : pupil

2a : a person who has done advanced study in a special field

b : a learned person

3 : a holder of a scholarship

Definition of SCHOLARLY

: of, characteristic of, or suitable to learned persons : LEARNED, ACADEMIC

Am I a scholar? Am I a scholarly? Perhaps not. But then, I suppose that depends upon the one being counted as my teacher of whom I am a student or disciple.

Sneaky Play

This video makes me laugh harder each time that I watch it:

It is even better in full screen. Just click on the little four arrows at the bottom right hand corner of the video player.

The star sneak is Quarterback Jason Garza of Driscoll Middle School from San Antonio, Texas.

While I laugh hard each time I watch this, it nevertheless makes me sad on account of the association my mind makes with this and what is happening in America and in the churches. The bureaucrats and party leaders are pulling sneak plays continually and we, the ordinary, honest, unsuspecting citizenry, stand and watch in bewilderment, wondering, "What are they doing?" By the time that we, as a whole, realize the deception, the game is lost. What is even more sad is that the sneaks keep using the same plays and we still don't catch on.

Oh well, at least I enjoy watching the video!

Australian School Answering Machine

Since Blogger keeps blocking the video file that I uploaded, here it is as an embedded video from YouTube.

Here is the Snopes informaton regarding this video.

I received it in an email and found it to be funny, but as a sadly realistic and descriptive bit of sarcasm.

Fire Department Hoax

316-652-9861

This is the number from which a call was issued to our home in the name of the Sedgwick County Firefighters Union soliciting funds on behalf of fire safety training for Sedgwick County Children.

Is this a genuine solicitation on behalf of the Sedgwick County Firefighters Union?

Who cares?

It still is a hoax!

Beware of such solicitations by phone. The first thing to beware of is the fact that professional fund raising companies generally turn over only 15% or less of the monies to the cause to which you donate. 85% or more of what you donate goes to pay the professional fund raisers. So what is really being supported by the donations? Answer: the promotion of fund raising.

Moreover, in this instance, the fire department already has professional people allocated for this very purpose. The City of Wichita Fire Department web site reports: “There are 14 employees assigned to Fire Prevention and these individuals are responsible for Investigation, Inspection and Public Education.” Additionally, there is a Battalion Chief of Fire Prevention.

So, the staff are already in place and in the budget.

One meeting by the Battalion Chief of Fire Prevention with the School Superintendent and School Board would allow presentation of all available material and information that could then be sent on by E-mail to every teacher in the school system. Much of the information and materials is already available at the Fire Department web site.

So why the request for $$$ ?

How is the money to be spent and by whom and for what?

These are the kinds of questions that people need to be asking any fund raising people who call.

When you ask such questions, be prepared for a rude response and likely a disconnect.

One more thing of which to beware. Anytime that people asking for money say, “It’s for the children,” BEWARE! You can be certain that it is a lie.

* * * * * * *
Footnote: people who are truly concerned for the children do not wait for funding or union guidelines or support from a committee or legislature. They simply act according to the needs that they observe. They act directly. They use their own money and possessions. Loving parents and grandparents and other family members simply act and give. Caring teachers likewise act and give, often paying for supplies themselves and putting forth great extra efforts. Truly caring rescue people also put their lives on the line without waiting. None of these people stand by waiting and calling for support or monies. They see the need and they act. Those who say, “We want to help the children but we need your money,” by their own statement indicate their first priority. Those who call asking for money so that others can help the children, well . . . read between the lines.

Frightening!

Saturday I encountered a truly frightening individual!

She came with a happy and friendly countenance. She brought information about a candidate whom she supports. She was willing to converse politely. She was willing to hear the views of another. She openly expressed her views.

So what was so frightening?

During the conversation she expressed her support for her choice in presidential candidates. As part of the discussion I asked whether she liked paying taxes.

Her answer was, "Yes!"

I asked what she thought of the idea of returning to the Constitutional form of taxation that would allow people to decide for themselves how to spend their incomes, using a form of taxation that allowed people to keep their incomes and use their incomes as they believed best. Her answer was that she did not believe that the people should be allowed to make that decision because the people do not know how to use their incomes rightly.

This is an educated woman, an attorney. She is articulate and says that she has read the Constitution and makes use of it in her vocation.

She is convinced that "We the People" should not be understood in the sense that it is used in the Preamble of our Constitution. She is convinced that "We the People" don't know how we need to be governed and that we need to turn over even the decisions regarding the right use of the fruits of our labors to those who know better, namely, bureaucrats.

I was truly shocked by her words. It made me truly afraid for our nation.

As mentioned above, the problem is not a lack of education. In fact, the education that has been forced upon us, often even against our will, other times through cleverly disguised deception, is the cause of this dilemma. We have been educated to accept the economic system that is enslaving our people and stealing away from us our freedoms. We have been educated to believe that government is our savior and deliverer and that more and more power should be granted to it. We have been educated to accept that there are times when the safeguards against government that are clearly established in our Constitution must sometimes be set aside and thus, things like the Patriot Act are now in place and even counted as necessary by many.

So the government continues to move us farther and farther from the safety provided by our Constitution. Our lives are being forced into more and more dependence upon the government, which is carrying us toward global dominionism, from which there will be no place to flee.

Until the Patriot Act is used in abuse of a person, for most people, the individual response, which becomes the collective response, is: "Well, it has not happened to me!"

The same is true of taxation. Until an individual actually experiences personally the devastation that is being wrought by the many forms of taxation, most importantly income taxation and inflation, the common individual, collectively with all other individuals looking only to self, does not allow himself to care.

But then, what do I know and why should I care? I'm only an individual who has established a small business in service to others. I'm only an individual who has tried to provide employment for others, but was forced to stop hiring because of the crushing burdens of the many forms of taxation and governmental regulations and accounting requirements. I'm merely a silly individual who seeks to provide a service to others at the highest level of quality that I know how to provide while also seeking to be as conservative and efficient as possible so as to be able to keep the costs to those whom I serve as low as I am able.

It seems that in our day this is counted as unAmerican. In fact, by some it is even called uncaring and unloving and negative.

As for me, while the government has made it impossible for me to hire people anymore, I will simply help people in whatever small ways that I am able. I will continue to give the best that I have to give for the best price that I can afford to charge. I will defend the Constitution in word and deed. I will continue to count this as the American way, AND I will only vote for those who say and do likewise.

Of course, above all, even when these things are taken from me by those who are "better and more caring" than I, I will continue to preach the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ and will continue to administer the pure Sacraments to those who desire to receive them. This I will do until I am rendered physically unable to continue.

Public Educational Institutions versus Faith in God

In an article at WorldNetDaily entitled:

BRAVE NEW SCHOOLS
Prof to student: Keep the faith, lose the grade
Teacher thinks it's his job to get class to change personal beliefs

it is reported that a student at Suffolk County Community College, Gina DeLuca, is being punished by her professor for her consistent expression of her belief in God.

The American Center for Law and Justice, ACLJ, is calling for concerned citizens to sign an online petition of protest.

The ACLJ has added this update.
