I had not even considered this aspect of the legalization of marijuana and other substances.
I had not thought about the fact that someone who uses such substances would slip them into food. But then, perhaps this is because I do not ordinarily eat with those who would do this. St. John’s admonition provides ample protection.

As a side note, what is to prevent people from adding various over-the-counter substances that are already available within the limits of the law?
