TB2G! It’s Raining!
Thanks be to God! It’s Raining!
We very much need the moisture. The hot sun and winds have dried the landscape. The rain is falling, very gently, but it is falling. Thanks be to God!
Moreover, the temperature dropped into the 70s, upper 70s, but 70s nonetheless. It is actually cooler than at 5:30 this morning.
When the sun shows itself again, it will surely become very muggy. That’s OK with me. The volume of rain will likely be slight, but it will be measurable. Relief is wonderful, even when slight or brief.

Our summer temperatures have mostly been in the low to mid 80's. The comparison to the real heat the LORD has chosen to permit you folks to endure is striking --- and it gives perspective. As I sweat while logging or splitting / stacking wood, I will be mindful of this difference, and as I take in water, I, with you, will thank our God for His good gifts to His children, indeed, to all who live on this earth. Yes, He is wise, and merciful, and good to all His creatures.

The relief was brief but welcomed. Our rain gauge showed about 1/32 inch, just enough to freshen the grass and other plants briefly. Afterward the mugginess did indeed come forth. But we did have a short respite and time of refreshment.
Your condition, Gary, I'm sure amplifies the heat's effects and affects upon your body. Thus I expect that these momentary respites are received with deep gratitude and true reminders of the great Sabbath to come.
